I am in the midst of Easter sajian planning. Easter at our place involves lots of food and family. Since I will be doing so much cooking for the main course, I wanted dessert to be easy and delicious. What is easier than a no bake dessert? Since this Easter No Bake Twinkies Cake uses Twinkies as the main ingredient, you know it will be easy and delicious!

For almost 100 years Hostess has been providing snack products that families have enjoyed. I grew up eating Hostess productsI love their Donettes and Cupcakes, but my absolute favorite is the Twinkie. The Twinkie is full of creamy, cakey, golden goodness and has been making happy snackers for generations. There is nothing else like it. It has a distinctive flavor and taste. We typically enjoy Twinkies on their own with a cold glass of milk, but you can also use Twinkies to create an unforgettable Easter dessert.

This is a great recipe for kids to help make. Believe me, they will be very interested in helping when they see you are making a Spring cake out of Twinkies!

You will be using one 10 pack of Twinkies for this recipe. I recommend buying two boxes of Twinkies, since it is always a good idea to have extra Twinkies around. In my house they tend to mysteriously disappear!

I used an 8 x 8 casserole dish. If you want to use a bigger casserole dish, I would use more Twinkies and more of the other ingredients to fill it up.


As you can see, preparation takes just minutes. The most time consuming part of making this Easter Twinkie Cake was waiting the 30 minutes for it to chill in the refrigerator.

As soon as you taste this cake, it will bring back memories of your childhood. Everyone who tried this cake knew that it was made from Twinkies because of the recognizable Twinkie flavor. People were amazed that a favorite snack could be used to make a dessert. Try this at your Easter or Spring gathering and watch eyes light up as people take a bite of the familiar and beloved Twinkie served in a new way.

Ingredients:

  • 8 Twinkies (one box contains 10)
  • 1 1/2 cups of vanilla pudding
  • 7-10 sliced strawberries
  • One 8 oz. container of whipped topping, slightly thawed
  • Easter or Spring sprinkles

Directions:

1. Unwrap and place 8 Twinkies in an 8 x 8 casserole dish.
2. Spread 1 1/2 cups of vanilla pudding over the Twinkies.
3. Slice strawberries and layer over the top of the pudding.
4. Stir the slightly thawed whipped topping in a bowl until it is spreadable. Spread over the top of the     strawberry layer.
5. Sprinkle Easter or Spring themed sprinkles on top.
6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes and serve.
7. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
