How To Make Baked Chakli
Recipe by Naiya Sheth: Time for kids vacation! In an earlier recipe, we made one of the most popular Gujarati snack Mathiya and now it's time for another one Chakli. But here it's a healthy twist in this home made a recipe of Chakli. Yes, that's true we are going to make Baked Chakli. So elders can also enjoy it as well as kids. And above all it is made with rice flour, so easy to digest also. So, enjoy this easy and healthy recipe of Baked Chakli.

Ingredients to make Baked Chakli:
1 cup rice flour
1/2 cup curd
2 to 3 table spoon sesame seeds
2 tea spoon chilli powder
Salt to taste
A pinch asafoetida (opt.)
1 tea spoon sugar powder
2 tea spoon oil
Oil for greasing
Method to make Baked Chakli:
- Mix all ingredients of baked chakli in a big mixing bowl.
- Make the semi-soft dough by using enough water.
- Grease chakli press and place enough dough in it.
- Close it properly and make chakli from centre to end.
- You can directly place it on greased baking tray also. Otherwise, carefully transfer it.
- Bake them in preheated panggangan (180`c) for 10 to 12 minutes and then turn and again bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Let them cool and store in air tight container.
- Crispy and healthy Baked Chakli is ready to eat.
Note:
- Baking time may differ from product to product.
- Same dough can be used for fried chakli also.
