Thanks so much to Vicky for having me over to do a guest post on one of my favourite blogs. My name is Nicola Simpson and I would like to share with you an activity that I did with my 2 year old daughter recently to celebrate the arrival of spring, paper plate baby farm animals.
How to make Paper Plate Baby Lambs:
You will need:
1 x paper plate
1 x black paper circle
4 x black paper rectangles
Cotton wool balls
2 x googly eyes
Glue cotton balls all over the paper plate using glue. Top toddler tip – Pour glue onto a paper plate for easy dipping and sticking of the cotton wool balls.
Put glue onto the back of the paper circle and stick this into the centre of the cotton ball covered paper plate. Glue the top of the paper rectangles and stick onto the back of the plate.
Finish off by adding on 2 googly eyes.
Top tips – to adapt this activity for older children to enjoy as well, have them cut out the black circle and rectangles.
How to make Paper Plate Baby Chicks:
You will need:
1 x Paper plate
1 x yellow circle of paper
3 x orange triangles of paper
Yellow paint
2 x googly eyes
Paint all over the paper plate with the yellow paint. Once the paint is dry, glue the yellow paper circle into the centre of the plate. Add on one of the triangles to the yellow paper circle for the beak.
Glue the top of the remaining two orange triangles and glue these onto the back of the bottom of the paper plate. Finish off by adding the googly eyes.
