Southwest Chicken Salad Recipe
As a busy work at home mom, I don't have the time to make an elaborate lunch for myself. Sometimes this results in me grabbing some fast food or other equally less healthy options. But in less time than it takes to do that, I can make this flavorful Southwest Chicken Salad Recipe thanks to the ready-to-eat Foster Farms® Refrigerated Grilled Chicken Breast Strips. These strips are low-fat and high-protein so they make the perfect addition to salads, wraps, fajitas, stir fries and pasta dishes. Thanks to Foster Farms® for sponsoring this Southwest Chicken Salad post.
You can find Foster Farms® Refrigerated Grilled Chicken Breast Strips at Walmart in select Western states (CA, OR, WA, AZ and NV). They come in a re-sealable package, which is just so convenient. The strips have no added steroids and hormones.
If you love chicken, but don't love the defrosting and cooking, or simply don't have the time to do so, then you must try Foster Farms® Refrigerated Grilled Chicken Breast Strips. You can enjoy grilled chicken whenever you want with little or no prep! The juicy, tender strips are ready to serve and eat!
This salad could not be easier to put together. You just gather the ingredients and combine them.
I used a mix of romaine and iceberg lettuce for this salad for some variety, but you can use whatever you have on hand.
Tortilla strips make a crunchy addition to the salad and also add some festive color.
I found a zesty chipotle dressing that added a bit of kick to my Southwest Chicken Salad, but ranch dressing would be enak as well. This has become my go-to salad and when you see how easy it is to prepare, it might become yours as well!
