I discovered making granola is pretty simple and best of all gives you can customize it in dozens of different ways. Making granola yourself also allows you to control the amount of sugar and salt. If you are trying to incorporate healthier eating into your diet then you will certainly appreciate that. Try this easy Cherry Almond Granola Recipe and never go back to store bought again! You begin by making the binding agent for the granola. You can use maple syrup or honey. We just bought a large container of honey so I opted for that.
Next, you will mix the oats with the wet ingredients.
You'll want to spread a thin layer on a baking sheet and cook on a low temperature for 30 minutes.
The dried cherries and golden raisins give this granola a delicious fruity flavor and the almonds are great source of protein.
You can store this Cherry Almond Granola Recipe in a airtight container for 2-3 weeks. Of course in our house, it didn't last that long!
